Privacy Policy for AssetVault

1. Overview & Data Ownership

AssetVault ("the App"), developed by Sky Blue Eye Studios ("we", "us", or "our"), is designed as a standalone personal valuables inventory and insurance claim dossier generator. You retain 100% ownership and control over all data you record within the App.

2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

All user data remains strictly inside your device's sandboxed local SQLite storage:

• Inventory Details: Item names, categories, estimated values, purchase dates, serial numbers, room assignments, appraisal notes, and condition records.
• Photographs & Receipts: Photos captured with your device camera or selected from your photo gallery are stored strictly in the App's private local sandboxed directory.
• Security Password & Vault Lock: If you enable Vault Lock, your password is hashed locally using one-way cryptographic SHA-256 with a unique random salt. The raw password is never transmitted, stored in plaintext, or visible to anyone.

3. Device Permissions & Usage

AssetVault requests only the minimum permissions strictly necessary for core offline functionality:

• Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Used solely to take photos of items, receipts, and property inside the app. Photos remain on-device and are never uploaded to any cloud service.
• Storage / Media: Used to attach photos from your photo library and to export generated PDF Insurance Dossiers or encrypted ZIP backups when you explicitly choose to do so.
• Biometrics (USE_BIOMETRIC / USE_FINGERPRINT): Used locally via standard Android operating system APIs to unlock your vault. Biometric data never leaves your device's hardware security chip (Trusted Execution Environment / Secure Enclave).

4. Third-Party Services & Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free tier of AssetVault utilizes the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to display non-intrusive banner advertisements. Google AdMob may collect and process pseudonymous identifiers in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy:

• Device Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (GAID) and coarse device diagnostics for the purpose of ad delivery, fraud prevention, and frequency capping.
• Encryption in Transit: All ad network communication requests are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
• Opt-Out & Reset: You can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in Android settings under Settings > Google > Ads.
• Ad-Free Tier: Users who upgrade to AssetVault Pro have all advertising modules completely disabled, preventing any ad-network communication.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Because AssetVault does not maintain remote user accounts or servers, you have complete and total control over data retention:

• You can edit or delete items, photos, and collections inside the App at any time.
• Uninstalling the App or clearing app data in your device's Android settings permanently deletes all stored inventory, local databases, and associated photos from your device.

6. Privacy of Minors

AssetVault is intended for general audiences managing personal property and insurance records. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13.
